Issue 01 — Spring
"Architecture in oak. Built where it lives."
Feature 01
A new model
for an old trade.
Traditional cabinetmakers carry the weight of their workshops — rent, rates, utilities, insurance, maintenance. We carry ours behind the van.
By eliminating fixed premises, The Mobile Cabinetmakers operate at a fundamentally lower cost than conventional joiners. Those savings translate into sharper pricing, deeper attention to detail, and the rare ability to take on projects of any scale — from a single restored sideboard to a full library of fitted cabinetry — built where it lives.
No premises
Zero rent, zero rates, zero workshop maintenance to pass on to you.
On your site
Built in situ — perfect fit, no transport damage, no second visits.
Premium margin
Lower costs let us specify finer materials and finishes as standard.

The Workshop
Everything we need.
Nothing we don't.
Our trailer carries a full suite of professional joinery equipment: bench saws, planers, routers, dust extraction, hand tools and a generator. We arrive, we set up on your driveway or in your garden, and we work — quietly, cleanly, and to the same standards you'd expect from any traditional workshop.
- Bench saw & planer
- Router & spindle moulder
- Hand tool kit
- Mobile dust extraction
- On-board generator
- Finishing bay

A note on craft
"We use the same joints, the same finishes, the same patience as the trade has used for two hundred years. The only thing we've changed is the postcode."

A fitted dresser, a full kitchen, a piece you've owned for thirty years that needs another fifty — we'd be glad to discuss it.
